What is it?

Vanilla's rich, warm and intriguing fragance appeals to both men and women. Its aromatic warmth may offer comfort and nurturance for feelings of tension, anger and frustration.

A goddess of the vanilla plant is worshipped in Mexico. Vanilla is a climbing vine bearing flowers having both male and female organs. Only in Mexico does a natural pollination of the vanilla plant occur; grown anywhere else, it must be hand pollinated. This vanilla is organically grown by a Totonucan indigenous grower association in Papantla, Mexico. Papantla is said to be the home of vanilla, the place where it was first domesticated by the Totonucans.

We also source vanilla from Papua New Guinea, where it is grown organically in the highlands. We're proud to support our international neighbours in their efforts to grow quality organic produce.
